SCEA Saint Paty
For our valued client Sébastien Manelli of SCEA Saint Paty, we have completed a remarkable project. A traditional 2-hectare greenhouse has been fully converted into a semi-closed greenhouse following the innovative ModulAir concept. To achieve this, we added an extra façade on both gable ends, replaced the glass panes in the outer walls with mesh windows, and installed ModulAir fans in the new façades.
This allows the incoming air to be treated, making it possible to cool the air for most of the year. With the ModulAir system, less ventilation with outside air is required, which helps retain heat and CO2 more effectively inside the greenhouse.
Additionally, the use of insect-proof mesh in the walls and roof has made it almost impossible for insects to enter the greenhouse. The result: lower energy consumption per unit of product, higher CO2 levels in the greenhouse, and increased production. Finally, the use of products to protect the crops from insects has been reduced to nearly zero.
