Our client, who has worked with HortiNed several times before, has once again chosen HortiNed to realize this new semi-closed 2-hectare greenhouse. A part of the project, specifically 0.5 hectares, is reserved for varietal research. This allows the client to select the best-performing varieties for their specific region. To construct the project, an old existing greenhouse was first demolished and fully recycled.
The greenhouse is equipped with the ModulAir system, a heating system, double climate screens, and suspended growing gutters. Diffuse glass with double AR coating has been applied to the roof.
The project also includes a large operational space of approximately 2000m². Part of this space will be used as office space, while the rest will be dedicated to product processing. This state-of-the-art semi-closed ModulAir greenhouse, designed with a focus on sustainable and modern energy use, relies on a mix of energy sources (cogeneration, biomass boiler, gas, and solar panels) to ensure optimal climate control, aiming to eliminate the use of fossil fuels. Water consumption is significantly reduced thanks to precision irrigation tailored to the exact needs of the plants and an advanced recycling system.
