Richard van Dijk

Richard van Dijk worked for a long time at Van der Hoeven Kasbouw. The son of a grower, after his studies at the Agricultural College of Delft, specializing in International Management, Richard worked at a consulting firm in the horticulture sector. He then spent many years at Van der Hoeven Greenhousebuilders, initially as an export sales representative. Over the years, Richard worked his way up to become the head of the export department and a member of the management team.

Richard has achieved success in various fields. As the commercial manager for North America, Eastern Europe, and Western Europe, Richard has traveled extensively. In recent years, he has been particularly active in France and England. In these countries, there is still much direct contact with the growers, which suits Richard well, given his background. Approaching the problems and requests of clients and finding appropriate and efficient solutions has always been his focus.

In this way, he has made significant contributions to several developments. For example, he co-developed the greenhouse with solar panels. More recently, Richard, together with Ron and Van der Hoeven Kasbouw, developed the semi-closed greenhouse concept called ModulAir.

The first ModulAir projects have now been completed on different continents. This greenhouse concept, with its many advantages, will certainly play an important role in the future of international horticulture.

The goal is to find a suitable technical solution that is commercially viable and applicable in future projects.
